Our Top Budget-Friendly Plumbing Fixtures for Your Kitchen

If you’re remodeling your kitchen, then your plumbing fixtures may seem like an afterthought. However, it’s the details that make the design of a space feel polished and complete.

When it comes to selecting sinks, faucets, and more it can be overwhelming because there are so many options and brands out there. Where do you even start?

At CGD we’ve got you covered. If you’re designing on a budget and need help picking out fixtures for your kitchen, we’re highlighting some of our favorite budget-friendly options. We’ve done all the research and sifted through different brands and products, so you know you're getting top quality, functionality, and style.

We’re diving into our favorite kitchen sinks, faucets, bar fixtures, and pot fillers. And we’re highlighting selections in a variety of styles and finishes so you don’t have to stress about finding the right fixtures for your kitchen.

Amongst the sea of kitchen sinks out there we have three go-to types that we recommend for our clients. These include undermount, double basin, and farmhouse style sinks.

Undermount

As the name suggests, undermount sinks are installed from underneath the counter. This means the edge of the sink is below the level of the countertop – creating a sleek and seamless look.

For a modern and stylish undermount sink we love the Blanco Precis 30. It’s made of a durable granite composite and comes in 9 different finishes to go with a range of kitchen styles. This was the perfect addition to our Serene Estates project in white and looked great with the marble counters.

Double Basin

A double basin or divided sink has two basins that are separated by a divider. The basins can be the same size or different sizes. Double bowl sinks are very convenient because it’s like having two sinks side by side. They’re useful for handwashing, separating dirty dishes from food prep, and having a garbage disposal that’s always accessible.

If you have room in your kitchen then we recommend the Blanco Diamond Equal Double sink. It’s made from the same material and comes in the same finish options as the Precis 30. We used this in our Cardinal Flower project in cinder which coordinated nicely with the black, white, and grey tones throughout the space. The client loves having the ability to separate dishes into each sink basin, making cleaning easy.

Farmhouse

One of the most desired styles of sinks is the Farmhouse sink. Despite the name, it works with a range of aesthetics. They are deeper and wider than traditional sinks with the front side exposed. That’s why they’re also known as apron sinks.

If you love the look of a farmhouse sink, we recommend the Farmhouse Fireclay sink by Miseno. Fireclay is a ceramic material that’s extremely durable, so you know it’s designed to last. Simple, clean, and white this sink is very versatile.

Though there are a range of kitchen faucet types available our favorite kind is a pulldown faucet.

Pulldown

Pulldown faucets include the best of function and style. As the name implies, a pulldown faucet has a sprayer that pulls down and can extend, making cleaning a breeze.

One of our top choices is the Delta Trinsic Pulldown faucet. It comes in 5 different finishes to go with a variety of styles. We’ve used it in three of our projects because it’s a high-quality piece at a great value. They also have a version that comes with a touch feature, allowing you to touch anywhere on the spout or handle to turn it on and off, perfect for when you have messy hands.

If you’re looking for an affordable modern faucet then you can’t go wrong with the Delta Trinsic.

Similar in shape to the Trinsic, but at a better price point we recommend the Kraus Oletto Pull-Down Faucet. It has a thinner spout which is great if you like your fixtures to be slim and minimal. It also comes in 7 different finish options so it can coordinate seamlessly with your other kitchen accents.

For a higher end option, another pulldown faucet we recommend is the Brizo Litze Smart Touch with Angled Spout faucet. It also features touch technology to easily turn on and off and comes in 5 different finish options.

We love the industrial modern look of this faucet and will be incorporating it into our Baldovino project that’s currently underway. The matte black and gold finish has a luxe feel that’ll instantly elevate the kitchen.

If your kitchen is the most important room in the house and you want to include some extras to create a luxury space then consider a water dispenser, bar sink, and/or pot filler. Keep reading for our recs below.

water dispenser

To upgrade your kitchen sink think about including a water dispenser next to your faucet so you can have filtered drinking water right at your fingertips. You can install an instant hot water dispenser only or one that has both hot and cold water.

We like the InSinkErator brand for its modern gooseneck profile. The Modern Hot and Cold Water Dispenser has a hot and cold handle on either side of the spout and comes in 6 different finish options.

For a similar look with a single handle, we recommend the Indulge Instant Hot Water Dispenser which comes in 3 finish options. They both work well with the Delta Trinsic faucet, as the spout and handle styles are similar.

If you’d prefer a geometric look then you can’t go wrong with the Showroom Collection Modern Instant Hot and Cold Faucet. Also available in 6 finish options, the sleek modern shape goes perfectly with the Brizo Litze kitchen faucet.

Bar Sink and Faucet

If you love to entertain then you may want a wet bar in your kitchen.

For the sink, we recommend the Kohler Cairn Undermount Sink which comes in 6 different finishes. The scale is perfect for small to medium bar areas and though it might not look very mighty, it has a deep basin for maximum functionality. It would also work as a second sink installed in your island, rather than a bar area.

To pair with the sink, we recommend the bar faucet, Delta Contemporary Round Single Handle Faucet. Available in 5 different finishes, it's the perfect size for the Cairn sink and also comes in touchless options for added convenience.

We’re including both in our Oak Haven project, that’s currently in progress. The sink will be in a matte black and the faucet will be a champagne bronze. They’ll coordinate with the black and brass light fixtures and while the faucet will contrast nicely against navy walls.

Pot Filler

If you like the convenience of filling your pots right at the stove, rather than carrying them from the sink then we have some great selections for you.

In our Serene Estates project, we used the Delta Wall Mount Pot Filler in a classic chrome finish. It’s a sleek modern option at a good price point and comes in 6 different finishes. It also looks great with the Delta Trinsic faucet.

For a higher-end look in 5 finish options including the two-tone black and gold finish, we love the Brizo Litze pot filler. This one coordinates well with the Litze faucet and is perfect if you’re looking for fixtures that are anything but ordinary.
